61% Indians aged 45-plus want to retire in next 5 years: Survey

MUMBAI: Nearly 61 per cent working population in India aged 45 plus want to retire in the next five years, with the majority saying work-related pressure is affecting their mental and physical health. 

Also, financial constraints are the biggest reason for those unable to retire, an HSBC survey revealed. 

Global bank HSBC's latest edition of 'The Future of Retirement Healthy New Beginnings study' found that 61 per cent of the working population in India aged 45 plus want to retire in the next five years. ----------------------------------------------------------

Sub;- Grant of Flood Advance to Tirunelveli District also and following uniform working hours in the Post Offices   –reg.

I bring the following for kind notice and taking further action.

        I first thank the Circle Union for taking necessary steps for grant of Flood Advance to  Chennai and other Districts including Tuticorin District. Tirunelveli District is also affected by recent rain and it is very adjacent  to Tuticorin District.. Hence it is requested to take necessary action to grant Flood Advance to the officials working in Tirunelveli District also earlier.

     I also thank the Circle Union for the steps taken for following uniform working  hours in the Post Offices in Tamil Nadu Circle.I asked SSPOS  , Tirunelveli Division to issue necessary orders to follow uniform working hours in the offices in this division. But he  says that no orders have been received from his higher authorities to implement  the revision of working hours. It is requested that the C.O/ R.O may caused to send copy of orders to SSP, Tirunelveli Division early for implementing the same in the division Also this may kindly be taken with RJCM  meeting.
