Sub: Request to drop the proposal of reducing the delivery staff of Gandhi Nagar SO - reg
We bring the following to the kind notice of the SSPOs for immediate redressal.
The SSPOS Tirunelveli Division has instructed the GDSMD, Gandhinagar SO to give willingness for any one of the GDS vacant place which shows that there is proposal to abolish/redeploy the GDS MD Post of Gandhi Nagar SO.
Everybody knows about the delivery work load of Gandhi Nagar SO which is unbearable for both the Postman and GDS MD. Now, the proposal will not only increase the apathy of staff but also affect the delivery performance.
In this connection, we bring the following facts and figures to kind notice of the SSPOs.
a) At present Gandhinagar SO consists one Postman and One GDS MD [now Dak Sevak].
b) The followings offices/institutions are covered by the existing delivery staff apart from 21 number of delivery areas.
1.1. District live stock form 2. All India radio 3. Tami anna women's college 4. Joint director collegiate education 5. Little flower public school 6. Little flower main school 7.panchayat union primary school 8. Ooliyesthanam teacher training institute 9. Ooliyesthanam middle school 10. TNEB Palaiyapettai 11. Nivethitha metric hr sec school 12. Ooliyethanam primary school 13. Corporation primary school palaiyapettai 14. Corporation primary school lalupuram 15. Pandian gramma bank 16. Village administrative office 17. Athithiravidar ladies hostel 18. Primary urban health centre 19. Co-operative society 20. Gomathi type writing institute 21. Palaiyapettai kasba.
(c)The distance travelled by the Postman is ..28 km ..and by GDS MD is .25.... kms.
Hence, there is clear justification for augmentation of one more GDS MD.
The Divisional Union has already taken up the issue related to heavy work load of delivery staff at Gandhinagar during the previous meetings.
Hence we request the SSPOs to drop the proposal, if any, for the abolish/redeploy of GDS MD, Gandhi Nagar SO and to re-verify the delivery statistics of Gandhi Nagar SO to save the delivery staff from unbearable work load and to ensure better deliver performance.
